Thank you to all of our community members who turned out on Saturday to cast their votes for the high school tuition contract. We are grateful for the vote of confidence and support in the agreement which was passed by a 108-27 count, and will now be submitted to the NH State Board or Education for consideration at their June 12 meeting. This is the final step in the process that will set up our current seventh graders with their anchor high school and establish a bright new future for all of our Winchester students.
We also wish to thank the members of the Winchester School Board, Winchester School Principal Megan Pouliot and Facilities Director Kevin Seaman and their incredible professional staff, School Board Clerk Jim Tetreault and his team of checklist keepers, School Board Moderator Kevan Whippie, members of the Winchester Highway Department, and SAU administrative assistant Sheena Bushee for their efforts in making sure that the deliberative and voting sessions operated smoothly and with efficient set up/break down. This project took a true community effort and we are grateful for the commitment to ensuring it was successfully conducted.
