Dear Parents/Guardians/Grandparents/and Interested Citizens:

George Whittle: Please be advised that there will be a Service for Mr. Whittle tomorrow, Saturday, March 31, beginning at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Winchester. If you wish, you may send your condolences to his wife, Rosalie and daughter Amy Whittle at 62 Richmond Road, Winchester, NH 03470.
2018 – 2019 School Calendar: Last night the School Board approved the School Calendar for next year. We made a conscious effort to align our calendar with Keene’s to capitalize on professional development and curriculum alignment opportunities as well as other collaborative initiatives. Additionally, when reasonable, early release days were coordinated. We are hopeful that getting this approved early will assist you in planning family events. You will find this calendar on the District’s website next week.
Modification of School Board Meetings: Please note there have are a few changes to the School Board Meeting Calendar. The Board will be meeting with a limited agenda on April 5th and again on April 12th (regular business meeting. In May, the Board will meet on May 10th and May 24th and will return in June to the regular cycle of first and third week of each month on Thursday. Meetings are in the School Library and begin at 6:30 p.m.
School Board Reorganization: On March 15th the School Board reorganized and elected officers. Lindseigh Picard was elected as the Chair and was previously the Vice Chair. Kevin Bazan will serve as the Vice Chair after serving as Chair for the past two years. Val Cole will once again serve as Secretary, as needed. Peggy Higgins will continue to record the minutes at the majority of meetings so Val Cole may fully participate in meeting discussions. A special thanks to Mr. Bazan for his leadership as Chair these past two years.
Residency Verification: Thank you for your cooperation in providing the necessary documents. As noted in the previous newsletter, we will continue to explore ways to streamline this process.
Electronic and Paper Copy Newsletter: In addition to the Website Newsletter, it is being sent home via children on Monday. We plan to gather your feedback before school ends to see if this practice should be continued in the coming year. In other words, do you find this helpful in getting information, or is posting it on the website sufficient?
