Dear Parents/Guardians/Grandparents/and Interested Citizens:

This Newsletter focuses on bringing you up to date on some of the recently unfolding newsworthy events.

 FY 19 School Budget:

Deliberative Session: We are in the final stages of preparing for the Deliberative Session next week. It will be held in the School Gymnasium, beginning at 7 p.m. on February 8, 2018.

Child Care Available: During Deliberative Session, ACCESS staff members will provide childcare in the Middle School Cafeteria beginning at 6:45 PM.  They will show a movie and offer games, coloring, and Legos.

Question and Answer Sheet: For your convenience, we have developed a question and answer sheet based on questions we have heard/received over the past few weeks. You will find this on the District Website. Once you are on the site, click menu, and then click 2018-2019 School Budget Information. That will bring you to the link. I hope you will find this and other budget information helpful.

Science Grant: Mr. Mike's of Winchester nominated The Winchester School for a grant through The Exxon Mobile Educational Alliance. The Alliance have awarded the school a $500.00 grant for the support of instruction in the area of Math and/or Science. Thank You, Mr. Mike's

Gratitude: Our Gratitude Drama Dance performance will be held on Feb. 21st. at 2:30 and then again at 6:30. We have over 175 students practicing twice a week for this performance.

Emergency Drill: On Wednesday, Jan. 31st. We conducted a lockdown drill. The Winchester Police Department oversaw the drill. It lasted about 12 minutes and was quite successful. We learned a few things that we could improve upon which was very helpful.

Basketball: Our boys and girls basketball teams have had a very successful season this year. Their season wraps up this weekend at The South Meadow Blue Winter Slam Tournament.
