School District Budgets and Elections

Each year, the Winchester School District develops its annual budget to best meet the needs of the students and families it serves. School district leaders and the school board make every effort to increase educational quality for all students while reducing costs for all taxpayers, a task that is becoming more and more difficult with each passing year. Over time, revenue streams have dried up and the New Hampshire Department of Education continues to underfund what is legislatively known as "an adequate education", leaving the bulk of the revenue to come from local tax payers.

In this vein, we want the public money that our taxpayers ask us to steward to be visible to anyone who desires to review it, and therefore we will be building out this Budgets and Elections page so that information is readily available to all. Each year there will be new information about the annual budget process and school board elections, and we invite all members of the Winchester community to be involved with both processes. Please check back often for updates and posted information and, as always, please feel free to email Superintendent David Ryan or Business Administrator Cheryl Mayberry for any additional information or to ask a quesiton.
