There will be no school on Tuesday, September 13th. The town of Winchester will hold voting at the school on this day. This school day will be moved to the end of the school year.

FIRST WEEK RECAP

What an amazing, exciting, and positive first week of school! We kicked off the week with a wonderful open house where students got to meet their teachers! Dr. Carey, Mrs. Weisenberger, and Ms. LaClaire served ice cream while families were able to sign up for ACCESS, NHDI, fall sports and other community organizations. Cross country and soccer also started this week!

We have also had a positional change!

• Mrs. Sara Fiset – Middle School Science Teacher

NEW PBIS SCHOOL-WIDE SYSTEM

Over the summer our staff worked hard to finalize our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports system (PBIS). We have implemented school-wide ROARS cards that will be given to students who show Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, Responsibility, and Safety at school. Staff will collect the ROARS cards and randomly draw cards for prizes. This week Mrs. Noel and Mrs. Pouliot gave away 9 prizes to 7th graders and 9 more to 8th graders who have represented these five qualities. Students were so excited to earn extra time with their favorite teacher, A-1 pizza gift cards, ChapSticks, extra recess time with friends, and more!

PARENT AND STUDENT HANDBOOK

The parent and student handbook has been updated. It is now available on the school website. Please be sure to review the handbook as it details the expectations for students throughout the upcoming school year. If you have any questions about the handbook, please contact Megan Pouliot.
