Superintendent's Corner

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Stakeholders:

I am excited and delighted to be joining the Winchester School family! It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the new school year! I hope that everyone has had a relaxing summer with the wonderful (but hot) weather we’ve had.

Many people think that summer means nothing is occurring in our buildings and with the staff.  Not true! Many of our teachers have taken time during the summer to take courses and collaborate on curriculum to improve their skills in the classroom. We have a dedicated staff that continues to grow in their commitment to educating young students. This summer, members of our staff have hosted a fun and educational summer program for area students.

All of our facilities have received a thorough cleaning during the summer.  Our custodial staff has been hard at work getting the floors shining and the buildings ready for the new school year.  We are lucky to have wonderful custodians working for our district. Their hard work is much appreciated!

I know the teachers are eager to begin the new school year as well. We have high standards and provide the best quality education available for our students. We are fortunate in that the parents and stakeholders of our town support our schools and are active members in our public schools.

As your new superintendent, I am anxious to meet you! I was so pleased to see such a well-attended Open House night on August 29. I hope I can meet many more of you at our other of family events. I also plan to be as visible in the schools as possible.

I am here to listen, guide, and promote our wonderful district. If you would like to meet with me, please call Marie Braley at (603) 239-8061, ext. 7 to set up an appointment. At our central office, we are all here to help you.

Enjoy the new school year!

Sincerely,

Lynn M. Carey

Winchester School District Superintendent
