Good Afternoon Winchester Families,
You should receive a call with an update about our period of remote learning.
At our last board meeting, the School Board decided to remain in the remote learning period over the upcoming holidays, given that cases are still on the rise. They will revisit the decision at the January 7th meeting. During this period of remote learning, the Abbey Group is committed to getting meals to families. We have a survey about remote meal pick-up or delivery on our website, and on our Facebook page. Families may also call the school and do the survey over the phone, or pick up a paper copy. Even if you do not want meals, please do the survey. It is also collecting information about internet and resources for remote learning.
If you have not already signed up for a conference time with your child’s teacher, please get in contact to set one up.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to remind you to please complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application if you have not done so this year, or if your circumstances have changed. Although all students will be able to receive free lunch and breakfast, this data is used to determine how much funding the school receives from state and federal grants. For each qualifying child, the district’s adequacy aid is increased by $1,893.32. Other opportunities for grants also depend on the data provided by these forms. The form is available in the documents section of our website, in the main office at school, and we’d be happy to mail them to you if you’d like. Please contact the school if you have questions 239-4381.
Have a lovely holiday!
