Good Evening Winchester Families,

We have some details about opening days of school to share with you.

1. Each day before sending your student to in-person classes, you will need to complete a wellness screening. The link is on our website in the news section, and on our faebook page. You will need to complete the screener for each child separately, so we can accurately track completion.

Please do this as early as possible - 1 hour before arrival is best.

At the end of the screener click on "view score" if either section has a red X, your child needs to stay home and you will need to call to report them absent. If your child is scheduled to be remote on that day they may still participate.

2. Bus AM Schedules are posted on our website under documents "Return to School." We have contacted the Monday bus riders, and will continue to contact families tomorrow for riders who come on days later in the week.

If your child is coming on additional days, the pickup times may be different, Please double check.

Bus stops and seats are scheduled for those who indicated in their surveys that they needed bus transportation, or if they have requested it via Mrs. Carey since then. We have limited seating, and scheduled those seats according to expressed need.

3. The drop off procedures are expected to take some extra time, particularly this week. Please be patient.

If you have not completed the wellness screener, you will need to do that before leaving your student with us.  Drop off times will be greatly improved if everyone does the wellness screener before they arrive.

4. Entrances for walkers and car riders are separated by grade. We will have signs and staff to assist.

Grade PK and K enter through the door near the flag pole.

Grade 1 and 5 follow the path up to the glass hallway entrance.

Grade 2, 3, 4, and 6 enter through the main entrance.

Grade 7 and 8 walk up the steps to the door in the center of the middle school building.

We are very excited to put all this planning to work, and to see all of our students either here or via remote platforms. We know that there will be some bumps and opportunities to improve along the way. We promise to improve at every opportunity. Please be patient. Thanks for all your help! Happy School Year!
