Dear Parents/Guardians/Grandparents/Residents and Community Leaders,
It is with a heavy heart that I read today the passing of Robert Leustek, one of Winchester’s finest. I only had the opportunity to speak with him a few times, but right from the start he shook my hand and welcomed me into the community.
He shared with me some things that I could do to strengthen school and community relationships, and it was obvious from our conversation that he loved this town.
I will remember him as a gentle man with a loving heart and 100 percent dedication to improving the town. His passing is a tremendous loss. I completely understand Ben Kilanski’s comment of how Mr. Leustek's “service and dedication to the town of Winchester will be irreplaceable”.
On behalf of teachers and administrators, the School Board, and all the support staff, I will be offering our condolences and sympathies to his wife and family.
