MUSIC WITH MR. SIEGEL

Greetings Everyone,
In this
new year the choruses are looking forward to working on a bunch of new songs
for our spring events. The middle schoolers will be singing "Wade in the
Water" and some pop songs from the '80's
while the 5th grade chorus are enjoying singing some new rounds.
In music
class we've explored the music of the civil rights movement in honor of Dr
Martin Luther King and participated in old African American dances. Movement
in the classroom seems to be a favorite
activity for 4th-6TH graders, so we're doing an awful lot of that! In the
coming weeks we'll be doing a lot more organized banging on rhythm
instruments.
