Mrs. G's News
Behavior Update
I have noticed a bit of a slip in the behavior this past week and into the current week. I think for some of the children it is really kicking in that we are coming to the end of school. However, I still hold the same expectations as I’ve always had. These expectations include: being good listeners, hard workers, and neat workers. I will continue to hold true to these until the very last day of school!
Dinosaur Reports
As I’m
sure you have already heard about, the children have been working EXTREMELY hard
on their dinosaur research reports. This was a VERY long process, however, the
results were well worth it. I am so proud of all the kids for their hard work.
We will have our reports displayed in the library for everyone to read, then
they will be sent home. You truly will have something to look forward to!
Progress Reports
Just a reminder that progress reports will be sent home this Friday. Please look these over, sign, and return them back to me for Monday. As always, if you have any questions please contact me.
Money Practice
We are almost winding down on our money unit in math. However, I still encourage you to give your kids practice identifying coins and adding up piles of change. Some of the kids are really struggling with nickels and dimes, so they really need as much practice as they can get!
Book Orders
I would like the book orders returned back to school on Monday. If you would like another one, please just send in a note.
Teacher Requests
Although some of you have expressed who you would like as your child’s teacher next year, I have been told you need to put this request in writing. Also, all requests will try to be met, however, none of them are guaranteed.
Lastly, for those of you interested, Judy Smith will be the new third grade teacher.
