Dear Parents/Guardians/Grandparents/and Interested Citizens:

This Newsletter focuses on bringing you up to date on some of the recently unfolding, newsworthy events.

 

Flu Information: Please be aware that several students were sent home today with fevers. We are not sure if its flu related however, it’s a good time to take precautions. Please have a conversation with your children about washing their hands thoroughly, not sharing food and so on. If your child has a fever, please avoid sending them to school so that we may minimize the spread of illness. For your convenience, you will find several links to websites that offer information.

 Be aware that over the counter cold medicine without the approval of your care provider should not be given to children. Additionally, aspirin should not be given to children or teenagers who have the flu.

Director of Facilities: We have concluded the interviewing process and have offered our finalist a position. I am hopeful that I will be able to introduce our selection in next Friday’s Newsletter.

 

8th Grade Parent Information Night at Keene High School: This event, which was cancelled for weather, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 30. It will begin at 6:30 PM and tours will begin at 5:30. If you are interested in a tour, please preregister on the KHS website at the same link “8th Grade Parent Tours January 23, 2018.” This event is designed for parents. Students will have a tour at a later date.

 Scholarship Information:  Just to give advance notice, there will be an informational session on March 7th for students graduating from Keene High School on the availability of various scholarship offered. You will be able to ask questions and pick up applications.  Please mark your calendar. More information will follow.

 

FY 19 Budget: For your convenience we have created a link on the District website. Simply click the menu link (upper right corner) and click on 2018 – 2019 Budget Information. This will bring you to the main link that will bring you to individual budget documents. We will be adding more information in the next few days. The Deliberative Session will be held on February 8, 2018 beginning at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The moderator is Mr. Parkhurst. This meeting finalizes Warrant Articles that will be placed on the School Ballot.
